SUMMARY who is using my disk

well too many people knew the answer to mention here but thanks everybody,

basicy which processes are using a file or disk use the utilitiy
        fuser(8)
        ofiles(pd)

fuser is 4.1 => only
ofiles is O/S version dependant but there are versions from 3.5 onwards
the archive-server@titan.rice.edu has it (but I can't seen to find it).

ofiles is great, just what I needed, Thanks alot.

NB. if you want the full list of replys mail me seperatly
        (it includes 4.1 ofiles code) & a few other nifty little things
