Thanks to everyone who responded !
The pinout for the combination A/B serial ports on the 4/20 are:

        ========================================================
I received the following from my Sun Tech Rep after much ado... This
was faxed to me handwritten, so use with your own judgement. You
should concentrate on the first three columns, unless you are using the
splitter cable that they sell. If you are only using /dev/ttya you
should be able to disregard what they did with serial port B.

Pin Signal Port Pin Signal Pin Signal

 2 TD A 2 TD
 3 RD A 3 RD
 4 RTS A 4 RTS
 5 CTS A 5 CTS

 8 DCD A 8 DCD
12 DCD B 8 DCD
13 CTS B 5 CTS
14 TD B 2 TD
