Summary: UNIXBACKUP dies while backing up client partitions

Hi netters,

A couple weeks ago I posted a problem I was having: SS2 client crashed
while doing UNIXBACKUP's dump/compress on a fairly large partition of
a 1GByte, external Falcon drive. The summary is very simple: all of my
tests, and our previous experiences with other SS2 backups showed one
common element, the problem had to be related to the external disk drive
and was a rare error. The analysis turned out to be correct, the drive
in question caused the system to crash. I sent it back and it was
fixed amaizingly quickly by Falcon.
