Hi Managers,

My original problem is:

=> I am having a weird problem with a SS1+, running sunOS 4.1.2, GX frame
=> buffer. The problem refers to the GX card and/or cgsix driver. When the
=> machine is powered-up the screen appears ok, but when the GX is recognized
=> and the driver is loaded, the screen becomes messy. A large number of
=> regularly spaced vertical lines show up on the screen. The GX used to work
=> well with sunos 4.1, but since we upgraded to 4.1.1 and then to 4.1.2 the
=> problem have occured. We have other machines with the same configuration
=> that we've upgraded to 4.1.1/4.1.2 without any problem.

The consesus is that the problem is with the hardware. I have installed the GX
card with problem in another machine with the same configuration and the
problem persisted. Probably there are some memory chips in the card that are
having problems. I'll contact our Sun Support to fix it.
