SUMMARY: Sendmail Config Problem

Hello sun-managers

My original question/problem is included below. I was trying to find a way to get my gateway machine to pass mail to/from my mailhost (NIS master). I didn't get any responses telling me how I could do that, so I took the easy and recommended way out and:

- made my gateway machine the mailhost.
- changed the NIS master sendmail.main.cf file back to a sendmail.subsidiary.cf.
- mounted the NIS master /var/spool/mail onto my gateway machine.

And now the mail works fine.

My thanks to the following respondents:

I have no problem sending non "baosc.com" addressed mail out of my gateway, or receiving mail addressed to "baosc.com" from the outside world. However, I have tried to set up mail aliases to forward inbound mail from my gateway to my NIS master(mailhost) and get the following error in the ret
