I received three answers to my question regarding Chinese fonts for X.
I've tried out 1.) till now, it's very helpfull.

Poke around in ftp/pub/ygz on cs.purdue.edu
The file CND-CM-HELP.CXTERM will
direct you to most of what you are likely to
need.

Yes, Waseda University in Japan has a collection of multinational
fonts. ftp.waseda.ac.jp is the ftp site.
