SUMMARY: acc generates huge executables

This is a (short) Summary of all answers I got.

My question was:
  acc create executables which are about 120K bigger than created (or linked)
  with cc or gcc? Why

Many thanks to all who posted me an answer. :-)

===============================================================================

I got about 11 answers, some saying that the better optimization of
acc results in bigger binaries, but I think, that this is only the reason
when compiled with -O3 or O4.

Other meanings are:
acc links some libraries statically because of a bug in the original ones
(Thanks to Mark Boyns, who called SUN with the same problem).

I made some tests and I created binaries with acc with the same size as
compiled with cc when I called ld directly.

Greetings, Michael
