Dear all,

The fix to my problems was to install the later patch (100452-41), which I
did and the problems went away.

Thanks very much for your help to:

brian@arthur.melpar.esys.com (Brian Decker)
wschmidt@iao.fhg.de (Wolfram Schmidt)
Birger.Wathne@vest.sdata.no (Birger A. Wathne)

All suggested I install the later version of the OW 3/Xview Jumbo patch,
Birger also suggested that setting LC_TYPE to iso_8859_1 should solve
my # sign disappearing.

The original posting follows, thanks again.

Richard

Subject: Need another Patch to fix 100452-28

Hello all,

Does anybody know of a patch that fixes Textedit once you've applied the
OW 3/ Xview 3 CTE Jumbo patch (100452-28) ?

I installed this patch hoping that it would be a panacea for all my
Open Windows 3 problems and I now find myself unable to use the arrow
keys in Textedit or Mailtool. Another problem is that when reformating
text in Textedit using "Extras/Format" any special characters, like
the British pound sign, disappear.

Can anybody help me before I remove this patch?

Thanks in advance.

Richard
