SUMMARY: Setting password expirations

Sorry for taking so long to summarize, just back from Christmas vacation.

My original post to the list said:

Several of those responding said that password aging/expiration and
NIS do not coexist peacefully together. We don't use NIS here.

Several others said quite emphatically that SunOS does NOT do password
aging, despite what the manual says (at least prior to V5.0). This I
can believe, based on my own frustrating experience.
