The short summary is there is a bug in Solaris 5.3 NIS+ YP compatability mode
(though SUN has not confirmed it yet). Debugging the code, Amd will hang on
yp_order () when bound to the Solaris 5.3 server (but works fine when bound to a
SUNOS 4 server). I removed the NIS_MAPS definition from config/Makefile.config
and rebuilt it (which stops it from using that code) and its working fine.
