I got threee different answers:

brossard@siisun.epfl.ch indicates he had exactly the same problem. Sun told them to install the patch 101406. This patch doesn't mention anything about this problem, but it have solved it!

patrick@netcom.com suggest to boot with kadb and get a stack trace the next time the system crash. It looks like a driver bug (see mutex(9f)) related to threads. Having already applied the suggested patch, I did not got the chance to test that possibility.

rutis@vision.ethz.ch told me he had the same problem... and Sun replaced the hardware! They replaced the motherboard and the CPU module...
