Thanks much to the many people who answered so quickly. I had a feeling
this was a dumb question, and it indeed was. I needed to invoke
OpenWindows with the -nosunview option. Many folks also informed me that
I can use /usr/etc/add_services to add the sunview user's media file from
the CDROM, or I can just use tar to untar the appropriate media file from
the CDROM.
