One thing I forgot to mention in the previous summary was the recommended
cleaning schedule from Archive. They said to clean the drive after every 20
hours of use, and after every new tape. According to the tech support
fellow, the tapes have a lot of oxidization when new, and that was probably
what bit us, since we had recently cycled in a new batch of tapes (Sony).
