My question was:

> them to 32MB. Unfortunately going from 24 to 32 MB means replacing the six
> 4MB SIMMS by two 16MB SIMMS. It seems that the vendors won't give you much

Thanks to the following people who responded:

   Al.Venz@seag.fingerhut.com
   red@crunch.usgmrl.ksu.edu (Rick Dempster)
   kurt.stype@babss.com (Kurt Stype)
   blplante@system9.unisys.com (Brian L Plante)
   msf@nsi.edu (Michael S. Fischer)
   mcain@king.mcs.drexel.edu (Mark Cain)
   jdd@cdf.toronto.edu (John DiMarco)

-----------

The majority consensus was that these 4MB SIMMs could be used in PCs and Macs,
although some people reported being unsuccessful with such a transplant.

I tried it in on of our PCs (a Compaq 486) and was successful. The only
proviso was that I had to remove the SIMM that was currently in the machine
otherwise the additional SIMMs were not recognized when booting.
