I finally was able to fix the problem by replacing the transeiver (which
was the solution I recieved two days ago.) It appears that the transeiver
was not bad, though. I hooked it up to another computer and it worked
fine. Perhaps the connection just needed to be reseated.

In any case, here are the unique responses that I got:

I have seen the zs3 be a keyboard or a mouse that seem to be in perfect
working order. If you have a spare of each I would attempt to swap the
current ones out. Couldn't hurt.

Good luck.

Mark,

Make sure your router has tpe-link-test disabled also.

There's a complete discussion on the SunSolve WWW site, http://sunsolve.sun.com/sunsolve/ssgateway.html. It is SunSolve Document infodoc/12306, "Ethernet Interface FAQ/PSD".

I believe all modern routers have tpe-link testing enabled by default, may want to check it. The router and host should both be enabled.

I had the same problem...

if you set the variable tpe-link-test? to true...you are using TP,
if false...you are using AUI..

I had the problem using AUI and tpe-link-test? on false...so
I changed the tranceiver...and everything went OK!!..

many tranceivers go DEAD with suns...
