Thanks to Glenn Satchell and Peter Gray for
advising us of the existence of the rdist utility which
appears to fit the bill for us.
My original post as under neglected to mention that
we believed the cause to be due to the frame relay
link momentarily going down.

Hello Sun Managers.
We have a situation whereby using rcp to copy
between machines connected by frame relay link
can result in incomplete last lines on the target site;
with no apparent error returned to the initiating
procedure.
Any experience on this would be appreciated; should
we be forgetting rcp and using say ftp instead?
The procedure is part of a timed replication
sequence run by cron.
TIA
