[ Original Problem: ]
Subject: lp temp files filling up /var

We have (3) queues on our print server ( SOlaris 2.3 ) which receive lp
requests from some Sequent machines. ( sq1, sq2, and sq3 )

Requests from these machines print ok, and normally during processing
the following files are written to our Sun print server in the directory
/var/spool/lp/tmp/sq1 ( or 2 or 3 ):

( given that the job number is: 202 )

-rw------- 1 root other 0 Jul 16 07:50 202
-rw------- 1 lp lp 223 Jul 16 07:50 202-0
-rw------- 1 lp lp 846153 Jul 16 07:50 202-1

When the job completes, the 0 length file 202 isn't removed.
Any clue as to why?

thanks Much,
