Does anyone know of a daemon or script that will monitor
console activity for all users and then log them
off after they have been idle for 30 minutes? We have
a need for this on Solaris 2.5 and SunOS 4.1.x systems.

Thanks,

Doug

ANSWER: ftp://ftp.cs.hope.edu/pub/idled. This is a
very nice idle monitor that has multiple cababalities
other than just the monitoring of idled keyboard
activity. Set your web browser and enjoy.

Many people also pointed out that you can set TMOUT
in .profile if you are using ksh. TMOUT uses
seconds as its parameter. Set TMOUT to desired
number.

Thanks to all who responded. There were alot of good
answers.

Doug
