Sorry I didn't catch this post sooner. We have the same problem and we
are using Sun's adapter which allows a Sparc machine to use a PC
keyboard/mouse. The Sun part number is 595-3692-01 or 370-2068-01. It
is a Sun Interface Converter. We also have 19" racks and are using
switches

I have a catalog of a company that makes rackmount pc's and also have
rackmount keyboards for them at very high prices. The company is

cyberResearch 800-341-2525 usa 203-483-8815
www.cyberresearch.com

looks like their prices are in the $300 to $700 range for the keyboards.
I wouldn't pay that much for them but maybe you need them that bad.

Another company Industrial computer source 800-523-2320 619-677-0877
www.indcompsrc.com sales@indcompsrc.com also has rack mount pc keyboards.
Looks like their prices are $325 to $945.

I would also think that some of the people who make racks would have
keyboard trays available or at least pull out trays you might be able
to make a keyboard tray out of.

You could always purchase a Silding shelf kit that will allow you to pull the
shelf out with the keyboard on it. Then you would have enough room.

The vendors listed by Rick Caldwell have rack mount keyboards which have trays
for the keybaord along with the keyboard which adds to the cost. Apart from
these keyboards , one could use the older Sun4 keyboards. Luckily i happened
to find one here.

Thanks for your help.
Regards,
Somesh.
