Hi,
There is a SS5 which failed to reboot.
The error messages is "can't read disk label, can't open disk label package"
and then system try to boot from network.
I'm wondering the boot disk is bad. I want to use probe-scsi to check it.
BUT, this system has set EEPROM passwd and I don't know what it is.
How can I bypass eeprom password or what should I do to confirm disk problem?

If you can find the eprom chip you can reset the password by just lifting it
out and reseating it. The bootblk program seems to be corrupt or missing. You
can try this on solaris.
The ufs bootblock is in /usr/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk. To install
the bootblock on slice 0 of target 0 on controller 1, use:
example# /usr/sbin/installboot /usr/lib/fs/ufs/bootblk \
/dev/rdsk/c1t0d0s0
