        Dear Managers:

Thanks for the answers. What I did to setup the quota
checking on was to add the "quota" option in the /etc/fstab file:

/dev/sd0e /export/home 4.2 rw,quota 1

Subject: Quotas on SunOS 4.1.3_U1

        Dear Managers:

I have a problem. I am trying to install the quota system
on my network, however I cannot complete this task. I have followed the
following steps:

        * Reconfigure the Kernel.
        * Create a file called 'quotas' in the root filesystem where I
          want to install the quotas.
        * I executed the 'quotaon' command.
        * I edited the quotas with the 'edquota' command.

Apparently quotas are enabled, however the information
about the user account is not updated in the quota system. For example,
user ghoyos has 67903 Kb in his account (as it is reported by the 'du -s'
command)

hefestos# du -s ghoyos
67903 ghoyos
hefestos#

however the 'quota -v' command reports something different:

hefestos# quota -v ghoyos
Disk quotas for ghoyos (uid 100):
Filesystem usage quota limit timeleft files quota
limit timeleft
/export/home 0 100000 120000 0 0
 0
hefestos#

Does someone of you know what can I do to get it updated ?

Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas and Happy 1998.
