Thanks for all the prompt response, It turns out to be the Cable problem
and some setting on the Printer itself. the working setting for the serial
cable is as follow:
1 --> 1
2 --> 3
3 --> 2
4 --> 5
5 --> 4
6 --> 20
7 --> 7
20 --> 6
