Thanks to Jeff Kennedy, the answer to my problem is:

For each line that looks like:
tape-config-list=
                          "QUANTUM DLT7000", "HP DLT70", "DLT7000";

I need a line that looks like:

DLT7000 = 1,0x38,0,0x1D639,4,0x82,0x84,0x85,2;
