SYNOPSIS: How to increase the amount of default metadevices

DETAIL DESCRIPTION:

The system defaults to a maximum of 127 metadevices in the system
device area. Some system configurations need more than this number.

The limit of 127 metadevices may not be increased in Online: DiskSuite 1;
however Online Disk Suite versions 2.0.1 and above allow a user to increase
this number.

SOLUTION SUMMARY:

To increase this number, edit the /kernel/drv/md.conf file and change the
"nmd" field from 'nmd=127' to whatever amount is needed (i.e., 255).
The line looks like this:

        name="md" parent="pseudo" nmd=256

Then boot -r to build these new devices.
