The general consensus was to apply the latest CDE 1.2 patches. No one had
the exact scenario I am encountering.
I would like to claim victory, but cannot. I applied all the latest CDE 1.2
patches (and for grins Openwin 3.6 patches) on one of the machines. The
login screen on that machine stopped displaying sometime after Thursday
(4/8/99) afternoon.
I'm beginning to think that there is some configuration parameter on the
user who is logged into the console that is causing these problems. When I
have the root user logged into the console, there doesn't seem to be any
problem.
I had better get all the recommended and security patches for Solaris 2.6 on
the machines.
