First off, I appreciate all your responses.
Secondly, I think everyone has beat the swap thing to death, but doesn't
totally understand where I am coming from. Basically, when I run top, I get
"320MB physical, 256MB swap" (or adding used/free together results in those
numbers) -- that is with NO SWAP DEFINED! If I add swap (I have tried 3 or
4 partitions, I still get swap partitions + 256MB).
LASTLY, I think it may be a library issue as some of you pointed out. My
/etc/system was comments only. I have since changed it to the following:
moddir: /kernel /usr/kernel /other/modules
forceload: sys/msgsys
forceload: sys/semsys
forceload: sys/shmsys
Anyone else have any other suggestions?
I am also going to run truss on a few programs. This system is a production
machine and it is very hard to get time on it to modify anything.
