SUMMARY: Can't start CDE via dtlogin on Solaris 7 (still)

I posted this question (recapped below) and received several responses,
all incorrect. Thanks and my appreciation anyway go to:

        Gerhard den Hollander <gerhard@james.jason.nl>
        rsaddler@cccis.com

who both thought it had to do with my setting of DTSOURCEPROFILE in my
.dtprofile (which I have tried set to true, false, and undefined with
no change), to

        Ray Delaney <rdelaney@bbt.com>

who thought that /sbin/sh was non-existant (it isn't), to

        Salehi, Michael E <Mike.Salehi@usa.xerox.com>

who told me where to find the log files I had already attached to my
original posting, and suggested renaming my .login, .cshrc and .profile
(if they were the problem why can I login on other machines using the
same automounted home directory, and why can I login w/ OW but not CDE,
and why can't I use CDE with any user account), and to

        Arthur J. Byrnes <abyrnes@stetson.edu>

who suggested making sure my naming services were working (they are).

In case this wasn't clear before, I'll state this more clearly:

My problem has nothing to do with anything related to an individual user.
These accounts worked fine before I re-installed the OS. They work fine
on other similar hosts. This host is not the file server.

It has to do with the system's setup.

So, are there any more suggestions out there?

My original question:
> I just reinstalled Solaris 7 on a SS20. It was working before, but I
> wanted to remove some packages and re-layout my disks, and pkgrm failed
> indicating a corrupt installation database, so I decided to rebuild it.
