SUMMARY: Sun Trunking 1.0.1 Software

Rarely in my experience has the implementation of a potentially complex
piece of software gone so smoothly. Sun Trunking in combination with
our Cisco Catalyst 5500 switch "just worked".

Once the Network admin configured the four ports as a channel, I plugged
in my qfe card and installed the software. A quick edit to a
configuration file, and the creation of /etc/hostname.qfe0 was all I
needed to do. After the reboot, the system came right up:

Rebooting with command: boot -r
Boot device: /pci@1f,4000/scsi@3/disk@0,0 File and args: -r
SunOS Release 5.6 Version Generic_105181-05 [UNIX(R) System V Release 4.0]

Configuring QFE trunking devices

qfe trunk members:
    qfe0 (head)
    qfe1
    qfe2
    qfe3
configuring network interfaces: hme0 qfe0.

Too cool...

Thanks to David Mather, Richard Smith, and Dylan Carlson for their
feedback on this.
