Hi most people suggested that the kernel patch 106541 was to blame
for the system hanging with init after the cluster installation.
My original post follows and a reply. Some suggested typing
reboot instead of init.

Hi all I'm installing the Solaris 2.7 Recommended and SEcurity patches
and after the installation finished on 2 ultra 10 machines I did an
init 6 and both systems hung and I had to do a stop A. Anybody
else experience this?? Does it have to do with the order in which
I'm installing the patches. Here are the patches I'm installing in this
order.

Yes! I believe it's 106541 the kernel patch. What I've started to do, is
sync, sync, halt, reboot. It seems to touch some configuration during
patch install that init and shutdown don't work.
