Summary: NFS Problems

Hi Everyone,

I got a few replies to this...

It ended up being the duplex setting between the switch, I am using and the
sun I am using... The sun does not
autonegotiate very well..

For some reason, the sun will only communicate at 10Mbps at Half Duplex..
When I set both ends to this, everything
worked..

Thanks to those who replied

Subject: NFS Problems

Hi Everyone,

I am having a NFS problem with my Solaris 2.6 Box.

Everytime I try to copy something from an NFS mounted disk, I get the
following message

# cp date.file
NFS: read failed for server apollo: error 5 (RPC: Timed Out)
cp: data.file: Connecton timed out

The system is running really really slow as well.

The box has all the lastest recommended patches and so forth...
I check the byte sizes of the nfsd and mountd program and they seem to match
other similar boxes..

The weird thing, is that I have no problem with similar boxes on the same
subnet and servers and mount points..
This system used to work fine... A few days ago...

Any help would be appreciated..
Thanks
Chris
