SUMMERY-Disk Slicing Setup

Well ,Thanks to those who responded ,I geuss posting something on the
holidays is a bit risky ......
My question

 Hi All,

all who responded agreed on one thing the /var is too small !!! 300-600mb
was the ranges of size.
almost all said they like to keep / small and seperated so there's no file
activity on it and thus minimal posibility of damage.
almost all said /opt and /usr should be residing on other slices to usr
300-600 and the same or more for opt .
Adam Levin was the only one saying a single but big partition will save disk
space manuvers ...and allow for smooth upgrades.

if you have a comments please mail me i will resummerize !!! i think this
issue is important and deserves some thaught .so your opinion is welcomed
and will be taken into consideration.
