Hi guys,

I got so many responses that I won't mention names, just a thanks to all who
took the time.

The most common response was to use JetAdmin, which I didn't want to at
first, but this ended up being the only thing that worked.

Other responses included using:
lpadmin -p foo -s bar!text or raw
-I option with any instead of ps or simple

also a few people suggested changing the setting on the printer itself by
enabling an option called: 'Append CR
to LF?' I didn't try that, but it might help some one else.

thanks again

Original question:
--------------------

Hi all,

I am running 2.6 and am trying to print to an HP LaserJet5 si mx. I have
added the printer with the command: lpadmin -p foo -s bar!bar -I ps -T ps
This allows me to print ps files, but won't print my ascii text files
correctly.
I also tried adding simple to the -I option, but it doesn't help.

What am I missing?
