The following tools were recommended.

ntop:

If your egress router is a Cisco router, have a look at cflowd:

http://www.caida.org/tools/measurement/cflowd/

I tried ntop and it works fine. Does what it is supposed to do.
However, none of the tools I have tried today does what I want, which I
will describe in the next message.
