Thank you Dave Grant for your reply. I found that bdconfig didn't cause to
lock up system. It only spit out mesage when the startup script run that
serial device wasn't configured. After run bdconfig command the error
message went away. The problem that lock up my system was the bad card from
ATM switch that I connect to via serial port.

Thanks,

Hi Manager,

I have Sparcstation4 running Solaris 2.6 with cluster patch rev 16. The
system complains about serial device not config when it runs bdconfig from
startup script at the boot time. It suggests to bdconfig command manually.
When the system goes into init level 2 it locks the system and I cannot
access from console or remote to it. I run bdconfig command and use
/dev/term/b as serial device from single user mode and I still have
problem. How do i fix this problem? I will summarize when I fix the
problem.

Thanks

Vinnie
