Thanks to all who responded, two many to mention them all, I got the
message. That the t1's serial port has a different pinout than what
Lightwave console server's port.

In search of good documentations, I looked everywhere on sunsolve and
docs.sun.com, but I found a good source at
http://www.sun.com/netra/documentation.html

I don't know why these did not make it to docs.sun.com yet.

Also stokely's site has good info. I used to frequent that site, but never
since these netras were out.

So basically, you have to use a custom cable, since lightwave console
servers come with RJ45 ports, so the RJ45 to DB25 adapter Sun ships with the
netras aren't useful. The docs will give you the pinout and you just have to
make a custom cable to accomodate it.

Also to disable the keyboard abort sequence, you need to set enable_abort=0
in /etc/system.
kbd command or file does not work because there is no kbd driver.

The pinout is

        Netra t1 Terminal server
1 RTS 1 CTS
2 DTR 2 DSR
3 TXD 3 RXD
4 SG 4 SG
5 SG 5 SG
6 RXD 6 TXD
7 DSR 7 DTR
8 CTS 8 RTS
