Subject: Jumpstart replaces inetd.conf

Hi all,

Our jumpstart server (Solaris 7 106541-17) has developed a problem when
jumping Solaris 8 boxes.
Everything has been working fine for months, but all of a sudden when the
jumpstart is finished, I can't telnet into the box.
A look in etc shows that jumpstart has moved the /etc/inetd.conf link to
/etc/inetd.conf.JASSxxxxxxxxx, and there is a new inetd.conf of zero size.
If I reinstate /etc/inetd.conf as a link to /etc/inet/inetd.conf and reboot,
everything is OK.

I'm aware that there is the option to disable services in inetd.conf using
JASS_SVCS_DISABLE, but this would just create an inetd.conf with services
commented out.

The only thing that has changed is the recommended patch cluster has been
updated. Could a new patch be doing this? How do I find out?

Thanks in advance for any help

Jez
