Sorry for the late submission. Well I got response from Jed Dobson; This is incorrect, the Sun E250 has a 100 MHz system clock. The PCI bus however does run at 33 MHz (which is pretty standard). The new CPU will improve things. It has 2 MB of L2 cache. Your best memory configuration would be to fill all available slots (16) with the same size modules this will correctly interleave the memory and give you best performance. -jed Moore, L. Bryan; Well, there is actually a jumper setting that you have to change to enable the upgrade. 400mhz modules will not run in 3:1 mode. Jumper J3001 needs to be 2-3 to set 4:1 mode. Have fun!!! and Doug Otto; The only bus that is 33mhz on that box is the PCI bus. The processor clocks at 100. THNX alot to u all for the time and effort. It really helped me.
