SUMMARY: flashPROM question

Thanks to Willie F., Joseph Herpers, and Carl Ma for their quick responses to my
question regarding "FCODE" and "iPOST".

Carl provided a URL that describes where "Forth byte code" comes from
(http://www.primenet.com/pcai/New_Home_Page/ai_info/pcai_forth.html).

Both Joseph and Willie provided a bit more background on how FCODE is used,
which is to provide descriptors - i.e. memory mapping info - of cards that use
the SBUS. The only documentation I found on Sun's web site was for reprogramming
the flash prom in an enterprise system, but nothing as to the "why".

I guess only someone with experience in the actual architectural configuration
of a SPARC would be able to answer the question as to "why forth byte code is
used". I never did find out if there is any differences between "iPOST" and
"POST".

Again, thanks to all who did respond

Cheers,
-deb
