Thanks for the replay.  Looks like everyone is using the mt rewoffl or the
mt offline command.  I tried that already and didn't work for me with EZ17
what happens is that it doesn't put the tape back in the lib.  It just
ejects the tape and leaves it on the drive.

Most autoloaders will work in dumb, sequential mode.  Use 'mt -f /dev/rmt/X
offline'
This will eject the current tape and load the next one.
