I did get some NO answers but YES's prevail because of many first hand YES's and a dataram answer and quote and warranty! You might want to double-check with Sun to verify that the Ex000 line can take the 2 GB kits (I don't know why they wouldn't be able to). I know the Ex500 line can. HTH... Sorry I can't be more detailed, the details are all back at a previous employer. :-) But we had a reletively late-model E3000, and several sets of 8x256MB sticks, so we tried it. Figured worst case, it just wouldn't boot. Worked fine. I believe 6GB is arrived at ONLY using 8x128 (1GB) in each bank (2 banks) of all the three boards. Can one plugin higher capacity simms instead of 128MB RAM and break both the 2GB board limit and 6GB system limit?
