Steps to troubleshoot webstart flash using jumpstart: 1- Don't use auto keyword (in disk partitioning) in your profile it will not work. 2- Patch your install server if the flash archive is greater than 2 GB (Patch: 109318)....patch the install server anyway to ensure proper flash function. 3- Don't use a compressed archive to flash a clone ! I was trying to flash a clone with a compressed archive ! When using the uncompressed version of the archive it works like a dream. I think compressed version is for storage purposes only not for flashing clones. 4- WebFlash start newbies can find a good simple example in John S.
