I got a mixed set of responses, but I expected that much. The best line
used was a famous one.. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The points made
were this.. Each release tends to have performance improvements. But on
this older system with limited RAM and disk space, I may be starved for
resources since each release tends to want more RAM and drive space as
well. I may reconsider Solaris 9 in the future if I add RAM and another
drive.. It was also recommended to upgrade to Ultra 5 since they're rather
cheap. I've been looking at that for quite some time, but since this
system already has the extra network card, I'll keep it as my
firewall/gateway and just run it headless like my Sparc 2.
