Thanks to about 100 people.
Most said update the EPROM version.
I was already at 3.25, but when we installed the OS, we said "No to 64-bit"
on that particular computer for some reason.
Some people suggested "setenv boot-file "" or " "
This didn't work, because it tried to boot with with option " ".
Thanks to Henrik Mortensen for the correct way to do this...
set-default boot-file (This puts it back the null value I mentioed
earlier)
Everyone else said the default path was...
/kernel/unix for 32-bit. This also worked, but I just went with the
default above.

Subject: 32-bit Solaris8 boot-file path

We have an old Ultra2, someone tried to force to
use a 64bit kernel by changing the boot-file path
in the NVRAM. However the 64-bit kernel was never
loaded on the box. I looked at the value on some
other systems, an it appears to be null value.
I've tried setting it to null, but have been unsuccessful.

Does anyone know the default boot-file path for this system?

R.
