Hello, I had a problem on a StorEdge T3 not getting an IP address from a rarpd server (after configuring necessary files, of course). These devices were connected to a cisco switch. I had enabled debug messages (-d) on the in.rarpd but it was not getting any rarp request from the T3. Furgus Donahue noted 'portfast' which was listed in the Release Notes of the StorEdge T3. http://sunsolve.sun.com/data/816/816-4107/pdf/816-4107-10.pdf So one just need to enable the 'spanning-tree portfast' on the concerned port and it worked.
