Dear All

I've received only one real answer, suggesting that
hsfs (iso960) date of creation of CD is somehow wrong which
results in setting time to 0 that gives just Jan 1st, 1970 ...
Thank to Jay Lessert <jayl@accelerant.net> :-)

ANSWER***********************************************

Nothing to do with vold.

The mtime for the CDROM mount points (bc*) are just the time stored on
the hfs file system written on the CDROM. This time is a 32-bit
integer. Whatever wrote the file system decided to write the value
"0". This is a strange choice (usually you would write the date
that the ISO image was created), but there's nothing Solaris can
do about it but display what is there.

The mtime on the symlinks is just the time the symlinks were
created, and have nothing to do with the object pointed to by
the symlink. Similarly, the ownership of the symlinks is not
meaningful.
