Summary: Urgent Solaris Sendmail DNS Problem!

The root cause of my problem was not my sendmail config but the fact
that our DNS administrators dorked up their DNS server configs.

Once they fixed their problems, my email started working again.

Just so it is in the archives, here is some info I learned about
Sendmail and DNS:

It appears that the only real solution to make Sendmail ignore DNS is
to recompile the executable with NAMED_BIND set to 0. After MUCH
searching on the Internet, everything I have read indicates that the
anti-spam features of sendmail rely so heavily on DNS that if DNS
support is compiled in but DNS isnt working properly, your mail wont
work either. (Or will work not how you intended it to).

Thanks to the following for providing truly helpful information:

David M Dennis
Robert McDonnell

Surprisingly, I received only 4 out of office notifications.
I guess a few people have learned how to configure their email.

Thanks!
Jason Bufford
