Thanks to Steve Norton, Pratyush Paul, Ray McCaffity and Sun Support. It
turns out that the problem resides in the latest 120845 patch and that
reverting back down to 120845-01 will fix the problem. This however does not
help with my main reason for patching in that I would still like for the -s
flag of auditreduce to work instead of being silently ignored as is done
under 120845-01. Martin E. are you out there? :)

Sun was able to reproduce the problem in their lab, hopefully it will get
fixed and the -s functionality incorporated. This would make my life so much
easier...

Subject: libc.so.1 issue?

Solaris 10 06/06 running on a V880 kernel patch 118833-24. I recently ran
smpatch update and encountered this when trying to run auditreduce:

auditreduce -s <sessionid> <auditfile> (I tried other flags as well with the
same result, but was testing to see if the new -s flag worked first)

ld.so.1: auditreduce: fatal: libc.so.1: version `SUNW_1.22.2' not found
(required by file /usr/sbin/auditreduce)
ld.so.1: auditreduce: fatal: libc.so.1: open failed: No such file or
directory

ldd /usr/sbin/auditreduce
        libnsl.so.1 =>   /lib/libnsl.so.1
        libbsm.so.1 =>   /lib/libbsm.so.1
        libtsol.so.2 =>  /lib/libtsol.so.2
        libc.so.1 =>     /lib/libc.so.1
        libc.so.1 (SUNW_1.22.2) =>       (version not found)
        libmp.so.2 =>    /lib/libmp.so.2
        libmd5.so.1 =>   /lib/libmd5.so.1
        libscf.so.1 =>   /lib/libscf.so.1
        libsocket.so.1 =>        /lib/libsocket.so.1
        libsecdb.so.1 =>         /lib/libsecdb.so.1
        libdoor.so.1 =>  /lib/libdoor.so.1
        libuutil.so.1 =>         /lib/libuutil.so.1
        libcmd.so.1 =>   /lib/libcmd.so.1
        libm.so.2 =>     /lib/libm.so.2
        /platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-880/lib/libc_psr.so.1
        /platform/SUNW,Sun-Fire-880/lib/libmd5_psr.so.1

I have seen a few posts that this may be a bug but was wondering if anyone
else has encountered this issue and possibly found a fix. I have opened a
case with Sun, but have not heard back concerning any findings yet, other
than my patch levels seem okay.

TIA,
