The problem was that I forgot to either put -R/usr/local/lib in my configure
script or set my LD_LIBRARY_PATH to it.

Subject: ld.so.1: ./a.out: fatal: libstdc++.so.5
Unfortunatly, I found 3 questions like this in the archives, but no answers.
I'm trying to compile nmap 3.25 on solaris 8 or 9 with gcc 3.2.2 precompiled
from sunfreeware. The file libstdc++.so.5 is a link to libstdc++.so.5.0.2
which is sitting in the same directory and I'm compiling this as root with
LDFLAGS set to -L/usr/local/lib
so what am I doing wrong? And I promise to post the summary when I get it.
thanks
