Hi,
This week, it's a Compaq 9326, 16 SDLT's and some JNI FC cards thorugh a =
broccade switch (Compaq label on the switch). When the SunFire 6880's =
[V.NICE;] try and write to one of the 16 SDLT's, they give up after =
128KB, saying that the media is full. Solaris is 8 ... pretty well =
patched beyond the 03/01 release this year.
Hmmm ... the same SDLT's are written to (through the same switch) from a =
Compaq DS20 running Tru64 5.1 quire happily.
All the FC/SCSI targets make sense, and do obvious things (little green =
lights and beeps, etc. ;-)
Firmware in SDLT's is 3838, and the most recent drivers are installed =
for the JNI cards in the SunFire's. Anyone seen this before? Ultimate =
goal is to have Legato NetWorker run the drives flat out, but at =
128KB/SDLT that's a busy robot ;-) Sun's don't seem to be reporting the =
actual, updated firmware in the SDLT's either. Strange.
Cheers,
--Rob.
