Well it was a Friday and I needed to get away from here. My apollogies for
asking such a question. Which I had figured out about 10 min after sending
the mail. Since my mail had been stopped by the virus scanner that thought my
attachment looked "like a virus", I did not think about it. (duh).

In summary Solaris no longer comes with a compiler unless you purchase it. :-)

Install gcc and be done, or spend a lot of money on a more expensive compiler
that sun will gladly sell to you.
